Do these activities with your kid so that they can start to pronounce the letters, associate the sound to the letter and what order the letters are in.  I hope that these sheets are fun and engaging to use with your little one. I have tried to create worksheets that are simple, easy and quick to use so that you can teach the alphabet at home in bitesize pieces so that your child has time to take in what they have learnt.  Let's have a look at the worksheets: Worksheet #1  The first worksheet can be used in different activities that introduce and help the little ones to learn the letters. This is part of the KS1 curriculum particularly children in year 2 so you can use these at home to facilitate with learning that is going on at school to either help the child catch up if they are falling behind or if they are finding school easy then this can be used to challenge them on concepts they have yet to learn. These worksheets help them to understand the relationship between the numbers which is essential when it comes to dealing with complex problems that involve larger numbers but the knowledge they gain through this activity will support them with solving those harder problems later on. Worksheet #1:  This sheet covers all the number bond sums that add to 10, it also helps your child clearly see that 4+6 for example is the same as 6+4 so it shows them that it does not matter how the sum is ordered in an addition sum t

Writing Letters: Letter A Worksheets

Teach your little one how to write their letter A with these easy and quick worksheets. The first worksheet is all about helping them to learn the shape and get familiar with the way it looks and how to trace it.  With both of the sheets as they're nice and plain you can definitely add your own touch and make it fun for the child by for example getting them to either colour or use different writing tools such as markers for example. You can also have a reward system where if they do the first row really slowly and try and get it as accurate as they can then they get a reward.  So, making it fun however you do is going to make learning for you child so much more fun and enjoyable that they would want to do more. That's why you should make even the simplest tasks creative and exciting.  Maybe you could ask them for any ideas on how they would like to make it fun?! Worksheet #1: Trace inside letter This sheet has a big letter A that your little one can trace around and if you lami

Single Digit Maths Colouring Sheets For KS1

The sheets below are activities that kids in KS1 particularly in Year 1 can do to help practice mathematical content that they learn at school. These activities are simple and can be done quickly at home or in school to check understanding and to re-visit topics to strengthen understanding and techniques. 1: Colour in the right answer (single-digit addition and subtraction).  Simple sheets are a perfect way to do quick understanding check and practice what has been previously learnt. I think this is super fun because you can do so many different things: colour, stickers, glitter, paint and more to make this as interesting as you can for the child so they enjoy it.  As it is so simple and clear it makes sure that the child is focused on the key thing instead of too much going on which they can get distracted and overwhelmed by. Hopefully, this is useful and valuable for the child.  2: Colour in the number that comes next.  This activity helps kids better understand the order of numbers

1-10 Number Line Subtraction Sheets

Subtraction is something kids learn quite early on in their learning journey, these resources have been made to both introduce the concept of subtraction and number line whilst also helping the kid practice. The sheets are simple and easy so can be used at home, school or a learning centre.  I have also posted addition worksheet  that you can check out here ! Sheet #1  This sheet helps kids to understand how a number line is used, you can use this sheet as a resource to teach how to subtract using the number line.  This can be used as a complementary teaching resource, so when you are explaining in class maybe you could use this sheet so the kids have it as something they can look at to help them understand the steps when they practice themselves perhaps using the sheet down below.  It is also a fantastic resource to use at home when going over or introducing the concept to your child instead of having to have lots of tools to teach it to your kid- these two worksheets should be enough
