Writing Upper Case A-Z Worksheet

Image
It's been a while since I've done a writing letter worksheet post so I wanted to post an A-Z writing worksheet that you can print out and children 3-5 can use to help them with their writing practice. The worksheet can be used at home, a preschool or another education setting for young learners who are learning to write. Another great thing about the worksheet is that it teaches the child letter formation, fine motor skills, pencil control and grip so it is really good for those around 3-5 who are learning to use a pencil.  I would highly recommend either laminating the sheet or buying a plastic sheet to put on top of the worksheet and taping it down on the table so that the child can use it to practice multiple times rather than printing the sheet several times. You can bring this out every single day for 5-10 minutes and let the child attempt writing the letters so that they can get a little bit of practice each day - they might do a few letters each day or attempt the same...

Learning the alphabet is a really big step since its the foundation that then leads your child into learning topics that help them to produce language so learning the basic letters and their sounds is a super important task. Do these activities with your kid so that they can start to pronounce the letters, associate the sound to the letter and what order the letters are in.  I hope that these sheets are fun and engaging to use with your little one. I have tried to create worksheets that are simple, easy and quick to use so that you can teach the alphabet at home in bitesize pieces so that your child has time to take in what they have learnt.  Let's have a look at the worksheets: Worksheet #1  The first worksheet can be used in different activities that introduce and help the little ones to learn the letters. These sheets are easy and simple to use, you can print them out and use them as a resource to help your child both learn their letters and how they are formed so its an excellent resource to use when teaching the alphabet.  I have done letters A & B which you can check out, there are different activity sheets for each letter that your child can attempt. They are both quite similar to the sheets for 'C', there are arrows to help kids understand how to write it as well as see how the upper and lower case are written.  The sheets aim to help your child understand letter formation through the arrows and with the letter large filling up an entire page so that kids can really learn to form the letters by using different resources such as their fingers, paint, markers, whiteboard pen and more you can really make it fun. Writing Letters: Letter A Worksheets

Image
Teach your little one how to write their letter A with these easy and quick worksheets. The first worksheet is all about helping them to learn the shape and get familiar with the way it looks and how to trace it.  With both of the sheets as they're nice and plain you can definitely add your own touch and make it fun for the child by for example getting them to either colour or use different writing tools such as markers for example. You can also have a reward system where if they do the first row really slowly and try and get it as accurate as they can then they get a reward.  So, making it fun however you do is going to make learning for you child so much more fun and enjoyable that they would want to do more. That's why you should make even the simplest tasks creative and exciting.  Maybe you could ask them for any ideas on how they would like to make it fun?! Worksheet #1: Trace inside letter This sheet has a big letter A that your little one can trace around and if yo...
