Writing Upper Case A-Z Worksheet

Image
It's been a while since I've done a writing letter worksheet post so I wanted to post an A-Z writing worksheet that you can print out and children 3-5 can use to help them with their writing practice. The worksheet can be used at home, a preschool or another education setting for young learners who are learning to write. Another great thing about the worksheet is that it teaches the child letter formation, fine motor skills, pencil control and grip so it is really good for those around 3-5 who are learning to use a pencil.  I would highly recommend either laminating the sheet or buying a plastic sheet to put on top of the worksheet and taping it down on the table so that the child can use it to practice multiple times rather than printing the sheet several times. You can bring this out every single day for 5-10 minutes and let the child attempt writing the letters so that they can get a little bit of practice each day - they might do a few letters each day or attempt the same

Connective Worksheet

When kids enter KS1 especially Year 2 they start to learn about connectives and how to use them in their sentences to make them more interesting. The connective worksheet is a great way for kids who have been introduced to connectives and understand what they are to get a practice at using them and check their understanding. The sentences are quite simple so that it just checks whether kids understand which connective is appropriate to use and also to show they understand what each connective means and how it fits into the sentence. A good idea might be to have the child explain why they used that particular connective instead of the other ones and this will to identify whether the child has a strong understanding of connectives and if they require further support and practice.  Just like all of my worksheets I have aimed to make this one as simple and clear as possible because, as I have stated in a previous blog post, I want the kids to be engaged for the entire time they are doing

Saving Comprehension Worksheet

It is important to teach children life skills and introduce them to information that will be valuable for them when they enter adulthood. Knowing what to do with money and understanding the importance and concept of saving is a crucial skill that will benefit them greatly when they start earning money and become responsible for their finances. Something that a lot of people complain about regarding the school system is that it does not prepare individuals for dealing effectively with adult responsibilities such as managing their money. Unfortunately, money is a topic that is not discussed openly in homes either for a variety of reasons. This leaves individuals having to learn on their own how they should manage be financially responsible and protect themselves against financial difficulties. Reading is an important part of the school curriculum therefore it is a good idea for kids to learn those necessary life skills through the activity they must do. I have created a quick and simple

Number Line Addition Sheets

Image
Hey guys!!  Welcome back to another printable worksheet! One of the most popular worksheets on this blog has been the number line subtraction worksheet- it has had a lot of attention and interest so I thought I would add a number line addition worksheet to the blog as well. I think what most people found valuable was an explanation worksheet where I explained using the number line as well as give the child an opportunity to practice before they attempted the practice worksheet with lots of questions.  That is exactly what I will be doing for the addition worksheets: you will find below both an  introduction/ explanation sheet and a practice worksheet. With both of these worksheets and all of the worksheets in my blog they are all A4 size but you can copy the worksheet into word and adjust to the size you would like to print it out to. Or when you print it adjust the printer settings on your computer so that it prints to the size you want and all the information fits onto the paper s
