Odd & Even Activity Sheet

Image
This weeks worksheet is: Odd or Even Free Printable! Kids in kindergarten, Year 1, Grade 1 tend to learn this as part of their learning at school so this worksheet can be used either in a school setting as it is a fun activity where kids can demonstrate their understanding. It can also be used at home to facilitate a child's learning. Making sure that you are keeping learning going at home with quick activity sheets is important for a child's learning especially during holidays where kids can tend to forget a lot of material. That's why doing some regular activity ensures that children retain the knowledge they have learned and are constantly learning even outside of a school environment.  Odd or Even Activity Sheet: The sheet only covers numbers till 20 but it still allows a child to show that they understand what is even and what is odd. Kids can either circle of colour the right answer and this makes the sheet really quick to do so perfect for a 5 minute learning sessi...

Number Line Addition Sheets

Image
Hey guys!!  Welcome back to another printable worksheet! One of the most popular worksheets on this blog has been the number line subtraction worksheet- it has had a lot of attention and interest so I thought I would add a number line addition worksheet to the blog as well. I think what most people found valuable was an explanation worksheet where I explained using the number line as well as give the child an opportunity to practice before they attempted the practice worksheet with lots of questions.  That is exactly what I will be doing for the addition worksheets: you will find below both an  introduction/ explanation sheet and a practice worksheet. With both of these worksheets and all of the worksheets in my blog they are all A4 size but you can copy the worksheet into word and adjust to the size you would like to print it out to. Or when you print it adjust the printer settings on your computer so that it prints to the size you want and all the information fits on...

Multiplying By 2

Image
The simple activity sheets below are an awesome way to help your child practice multiplying by 2, there are two sheets: an introduction and one to that is slightly more activity focused. By breaking the learning down this way you can focus on one sheet at a time so that is not too much being done at once.  As I have mentioned before in my posts that its more efficient to learn and teach in bitesize pieces as it allows to process the information and to practice couple of times before moving onto another topic or concept. Introduction Sheet: This sheet is an excellent way to break down what multiplying by two or doubling is. Visuals are used alongside clear language so that the child is able to understand what is going on when we multiply by two or double. I really like how the information is broken down into steps and various ways to explain are used to ensure 100% understanding by the child.  Activities are also included to give the child a chance to engage with what is ...

1-10 Maths Addition Printable Work Sheet

Image
So I did a 1-10 subtraction worksheets using a number line blog post a while ago and I thought I'd create some visual addition worksheets for pre-schoolers that are currently probably learning to add. There is also 1-10 addition worksheets using a number line that I posted which you can check out here ! If you want to check out the subtraction worksheets then click here to open a new tab with the worksheets.  I would really recommend the worksheet if you're teaching your kids how to subtract as there's a whole A4 sheet showing just how to use the number line so it's a super useful resource as well as a practice worksheet with lots of 1-10 subtraction problems using the number line your child can solve.  I know that the worksheets would need to be engaging to get the kids interested and involved into doing them so I added lots of colour to the sheet so that they are super fun and exciting to use for the little ones.  This sheet is an excellent way to help your kids lear...

Number Bonds to 10

Image
The worksheets in this post help your child with their number bonds to 10, there are two worksheets which your child can use to practice their number bonds. This is part of the KS1 curriculum particularly children in year 2 so you can use these at home to facilitate with learning that is going on at school to either help the child catch up if they are falling behind or if they are finding school easy then this can be used to challenge them on concepts they have yet to learn. These worksheets help them to understand the relationship between the numbers which is essential when it comes to dealing with complex problems that involve larger numbers but the knowledge they gain through this activity will support them with solving those harder problems later on. Worksheet #1:  This sheet covers all the number bond sums that add to 10, it also helps your child clearly see that 4+6 for example is the same as 6+4 so it shows them that it does not matter how the sum is ordered in an addition s...

Single Digit Maths Colouring Sheets For KS1

Image
The sheets below are activities that kids in KS1 particularly in Year 1 can do to help practice mathematical content that they learn at school. These activities are simple and can be done quickly at home or in school to check understanding and to re-visit topics to strengthen understanding and techniques. 1: Colour in the right answer (single-digit addition and subtraction).  Simple sheets are a perfect way to do quick understanding check and practice what has been previously learnt. I think this is super fun because you can do so many different things: colour, stickers, glitter, paint and more to make this as interesting as you can for the child so they enjoy it.  As it is so simple and clear it makes sure that the child is focused on the key thing instead of too much going on which they can get distracted and overwhelmed by. Hopefully, this is useful and valuable for the child.  2: Colour in the number that comes next.  This activity helps kids better understand th...

Learning Shapes Practice Sheets

The worksheets you will find in this post are: shapes colouring sheets shapes tracing sheet shape learning sheet Each of the sheets are in an A4 format but you can also print in a letter format, just change the format you want to print in on your computer before printing. To print the worksheets click on the worksheets, save them and print it from your computer.  Each of the sheets is a quick activity so it can be done as a quick learning exercise but you should revisit the worksheets to continue the child's learning as that is the best way for children to learn. Children need to be taught a concept or a topic a few times before they can understand and remember it so having a go at the worksheets a couple of times will help the child to process and grasp what they are learning. Colouring Sheet This is a fun activity for the child to do whilst also learning their shapes, you can sit with the child and complete the sheet with them. Whilst they are colouring you can discuss the shapes...
