Kids Sentence Writing Practice Worksheet

Image
Hello and Welcome to another educational printable resource! For this post, I have created a sentence writing practice worksheet. This handwriting printable worksheet is a brilliant way to help kids with their handwriting, the sheet teaches kids how different letters should be written, which ones are tall, normal and go low. The sentences are simple so can also be a great reading exercise for kids.  The worksheet is in US Letter size. To print save the image on your computer then print or just open the image and print directly from the browser. This is the first writing practice worksheet printable I have created so I would love any feedback and happy to take recommendations for future resources.  Additional Resources: You can also check out the alphabet tracing worksheet below with both uppercase and lowercase letters to trace over and practice handwriting. This alphabet handwriting printable is a brilliant resource for homeschool, to use in a classroom or to use at home for ...

Year 2 English Terminology Word Search

Image
Word searches were my absolute favourite activities to do when I was in Primary School (UK) they were incredibly fun and engaging and when you did them with other kids it was a fun little competition. Which is why I created a Year 2 English Terms word search sheet to make it fun and exciting for kids to learn. This is a great activity for kids to do that's both interesting, less challenging but they're still learning. There are also ideas I have listed below the worksheet which can help to use the worksheet to build learning skills and knowledge so make sure to read those ideas and see which ones might be useful for your child to do.    Year 2 English Terms Word Search The worksheet is in an A4 format. To print just click and open image in a new tab and print. If you want to reformat then copy into word and adjust size to your preference or adjust the size of the sheet on your printer settings on your device. Now for some of the ways you can really make the most use...

Connective Worksheet

Image
When kids enter KS1 especially Year 2 they start to learn about connectives and how to use them in their sentences to make them more interesting. The connective worksheet is a great way for kids who have been introduced to connectives and understand what they are to get a practice at using them and check their understanding. The sentences are quite simple so that it just checks whether kids understand which connective is appropriate to use and also to show they understand what each connective means and how it fits into the sentence. A good idea might be to have the child explain why they used that particular connective instead of the other ones and this will to identify whether the child has a strong understanding of connectives and if they require further support and practice.  Just like all of my worksheets I have aimed to make this one as simple and clear as possible because, as I have stated in a previous blog post, I want the kids to be engaged for the entire time they are do...

Saving Comprehension Worksheet

Image
It is important to teach children life skills and introduce them to information that will be valuable for them when they enter adulthood. Knowing what to do with money and understanding the importance and concept of saving is a crucial skill that will benefit them greatly when they start earning money and become responsible for their finances. Something that a lot of people complain about regarding the school system is that it does not prepare individuals for dealing effectively with adult responsibilities such as managing their money. Unfortunately, money is a topic that is not discussed openly in homes either for a variety of reasons. This leaves individuals having to learn on their own how they should manage be financially responsible and protect themselves against financial difficulties. Reading is an important part of the school curriculum therefore it is a good idea for kids to learn those necessary life skills through the activity they must do. I have created a quick and simple...

Easy Rhyming Worksheet Activity

Image
Rhyming is something that is taught to kids in school quite early on- as soon as Year 1. So, the sheet activity below is perfect to test kids to see if they can identify rhymes and have understood the concept they have learned in class. This sheet is best used once kids have learned through other resources whether by explaining to them using an example or if they have been shown a video that goes through what rhymes and rhyming is. Once the child has been introduced to rhymes this sheet can be used as a practice to assist them in their learning further as they are doing something with the content. By actively learning it will help them comprehend and remember the information they have been taught better. Worksheet below can be used in many different ways: Give the child the sheet as it is and get them to complete a circle a day  Complete the whole sheet Cut out each circle and do each circle over a course of days so that they keep coming back and testing their knowledge Having prac...
