Connective Worksheet

When kids enter KS1 especially Year 2 they start to learn about connectives and how to use them in their sentences to make them more interesting. The connective worksheet is a great way for kids who have been introduced to connectives and understand what they are to get a practice at using them and check their understanding. The sentences are quite simple so that it just checks whether kids understand which connective is appropriate to use and also to show they understand what each connective means and how it fits into the sentence. A good idea might be to have the child explain why they used that particular connective instead of the other ones and this will to identify whether the child has a strong understanding of connectives and if they require further support and practice.  Just like all of my worksheets I have aimed to make this one as simple and clear as possible because, as I have stated in a previous blog post, I want the kids to be engaged for the entire time they are do...

Writing Letters: Letter A Worksheets

Teach your little one how to write their letter A with these easy and quick worksheets. The first worksheet is all about helping them to learn the shape and get familiar with the way it looks and how to trace it.  With both of the sheets as they're nice and plain you can definitely add your own touch and make it fun for the child by for example getting them to either colour or use different writing tools such as markers for example. You can also have a reward system where if they do the first row really slowly and try and get it as accurate as they can then they get a reward.  So, making it fun however you do is going to make learning for you child so much more fun and enjoyable that they would want to do more. That's why you should make even the simplest tasks creative and exciting.  Maybe you could ask them for any ideas on how they would like to make it fun?! Learning Numbers 1-10 Activities

Teach numbers to your little ones with the activities below. For all of the worksheets they can be printed to an A4 size by doing the following: Click on the picture Right Click and save picture Open the file you just saved Print it out This should print the worksheets to an A4 size. Alternatively, you can right click and copy the pictures into a word document and print to specifications you see fit.
