Kids Sentence Writing Practice Worksheet

Hello and Welcome to another educational printable resource!

For this post, I have created a sentence writing practice worksheet. This handwriting printable worksheet is a brilliant way to help kids with their handwriting, the sheet teaches kids how different letters should be written, which ones are tall, normal and go low. The sentences are simple so can also be a great reading exercise for kids. 

The worksheet is in US Letter size. To print save the image on your computer then print or just open the image and print directly from the browser.

This is the first writing practice worksheet printable I have created so I would love any feedback and happy to take recommendations for future resources.

You can also get the below tracing worksheets that your kids can use for further handwriting practice. There are a four tracing sheets in this pack and they vary in 'difficulty' so a great way for kids to start off practicing simple lines then trying to do more harder lines. 

An excellent idea is to laminate the sheets which will allow the child to practice multiple times without ruining the sheets and you having to print multiple times.

Writing Letters: Letter A Worksheets

Teach your little one how to write their letter A with these easy and quick worksheets. The first worksheet is all about helping them to learn the shape and get familiar with the way it looks and how to trace it.  With both of the sheets as they're nice and plain you can definitely add your own touch and make it fun for the child by for example getting them to either colour or use different writing tools such as markers for example. You can also have a reward system where if they do the first row really slowly and try and get it as accurate as they can then they get a reward.  So, making it fun however you do is going to make learning for you child so much more fun and enjoyable that they would want to do more. Connective Worksheet

 When kids enter KS1 especially Year 2 they start to learn about connectives and how to use them in their sentences to make them more interesting. The connective worksheet is a great way for kids who have been introduced to connectives and understand what they are to get a practice at using them and check their understanding. The sentences are quite simple so that it just checks whether kids understand which connective is appropriate to use and also to show they understand what each connective means and how it fits into the sentence. A good idea might be to have the child explain why they used that particular connective instead of the other ones and this will to identify whether the child has a strong understanding of connectives and if they require further support and practice.  Just like all of my worksheets I have aimed to make this one as simple and clear as possible because, as I have stated in a previous blog post, I want the kids to be engaged for the entire time they are doing
