Saving Comprehension Worksheet

It is important to teach children life skills and introduce them to information that will be valuable for them when they enter adulthood. Knowing what to do with money and understanding the importance and concept of saving is a crucial skill that will benefit them greatly when they start earning money and become responsible for their finances. Something that a lot of people complain about regarding the school system is that it does not prepare individuals for dealing effectively with adult responsibilities such as managing their money. Unfortunately, money is a topic that is not discussed openly in homes either for a variety of reasons. This leaves individuals having to learn on their own how they should manage be financially responsible and protect themselves against financial difficulties.

Reading is an important part of the school curriculum therefore it is a good idea for kids to learn those necessary life skills through the activity they must do. I have created a quick and simple comprehension worksheet on the importance of saving money that aims to help kids understand what saving is and give them information as to why it is important.

I highly encourage you to seek out texts and reading material for kids that can help them learn and understand information that they will need to be successful in adulthood and make it easy for them without going through a process of trial and error which can have severely damaging effects either physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. Prepare them by having conversations and giving them access to resources that can give them the best possible to adult life.

Importance of saving money comprehension worksheet:

This comprehension worksheet is nice and simple which is what I try to do for every worksheet activity that I create because I want kids attempting the sheets to not get overwhelmed the information and have too much to do which might make it harder for them to process information. By keeping it focused on the key things I think it helps kids to take it all in and stay engaged.

To print this worksheet:

  1. Click on the worksheet
  2. Save
  3. Print
This worksheet is in A4 format, to re-format you can copy and paste it into word to size it what you want or resize it in your printer settings on your computer when you go to print. Hope this is clear 👍

An incredible resource that I would recommend that you check out is the reading tracker currently available in my etsy shop. There are two options of reading tracker available:

Football Reading Tracker:

Emoji Reading Tracker:

These reading trackers are a fun way to make sure that you can cover a range of texts with a child and introduces them to a variety of ideas. It also makes sure that you can remember to encourage children to read and help them to find texts that they enjoy to read.

As this comprehension printable focuses on life skills I wanted to introduce you to a highly popular printable in my shop: Social Skills Bucket List.

This printable is a fantastic way to help kids build skills for positive interaction with other people and having those skills are beneficial for the future when you study, work and are in relationship with people. Check it out if you are interested!
