1-10 Maths Addition Printable Work Sheet
So I did a 1-10 subtraction worksheets using a number line blog post a while ago and I thought I'd create some visual addition worksheets for pre-schoolers that are currently probably learning to add. There is also 1-10 addition worksheets using a number line that I posted which you can check out here!
If you want to check out the subtraction worksheets then click here to open a new tab with the worksheets.
I would really recommend the worksheet if you're teaching your kids how to subtract as there's a whole A4 sheet showing just how to use the number line so it's a super useful resource as well as a practice worksheet with lots of 1-10 subtraction problems using the number line your child can solve.
I know that the worksheets would need to be engaging to get the kids interested and involved into doing them so I added lots of colour to the sheet so that they are super fun and exciting to use for the little ones.
This sheet is an excellent way to help your kids learn how to add as they have the visual there to help them and a space for them to write out the number- this helps them to get stronger at associating the written and verbal versions of a number. E.g six = 6.
The sheet has empty boxes since I want to reduce the amount of paper that will be wasted with using pre-filled boxes.
I would highly recommend that you either laminate the sheet or get a plastic sheet that you can place on top of the sheet and tape it down to the table and have your little one use a white board pen to complete it.
There is a ton of waste that is produced with learning sheets so try your best to reuse the sheets in other ways to get the best use of find sheets that can be reused such as like the one above where the sheets are templates that you can fill out.
Here is an example of a pre-filled sheet that you can also use:
This just shows you how it would look once you fill out the boxes- you can use stickers, dice, multi-colour whiteboard pens and so many other resources to make this more fun to use.
Also, I created the sheet below if you wanted to test your child or have a worksheet with numbers on it:
There is a '5 minute 1-10 math worksheets: addition edition' that has lots of fun, bitesize, quick and easy learning printables that kids can use to learn and practice simple addition. It is a great resource for reception kids (UK).
Let me know in the comments how your kid finds this activity and how they develop in the addition and writing skills.
