Days + Months Learning Activities

I have created a days and month teaching resource that you can use to help teach your child their days and months. There are various activities that are part of the printable learning bundle. You can click on any image and it will take you to the etsy page where the bundle is available for you to check out.

These activity sheets are easy to use since all you have to do is print them out and you can use them instantly, there's also many ways that you can use them so you get the best use out of the resource. The worksheets are also super colourful so it makes it really fun for your child to use.

So, to start off with what's included in the bundle we have:

Name of all the months printable sheet: this sheet lists all the names of all the 12 months so is a great way to teach and introduce your child to both the name and order of the months, to make it fun I've added colour to all the cards. You can do a lot of different activities with these:
  •  Use the sheet as it is to practice reading through the names of all the months and their order
  •  Cut out the cards and do an activity of putting them into order, cutting out will help work on your child's fine motor skills
  •  Again cut them out and hold each card up for your child to practice pronouncing the name of the month out loud.
There are tons of ways you can use these cards to help your child learn their months.

Name of days printable sheet: just like the months printable sheet this name of days printable sheet is also an excellent educational resource that you can use to teach at home the names of all the days, their spelling and the order. You can also conduct various activities with the same printable to get the best use out of it and to help enter the names, spellings and pronunciation into long term memory.

The more regular you do these activities the better which is why printables are an excellent teaching resource since you can print them out and use them as many times as you need to.

This is what the sheet looks like:

Again this is also super colourful just to make it fun and exciting for your kids to use.

Months writing worksheet printable: the bundle also contains writing practice worksheet that your child can use to practice spelling the names of the months this is active learning as your child is engaging in the activity by doing something with it so this will help them to remember the spelling.

Aside from learning to spell the words your child can also practice their handwriting so this sheet also helps them to work on their handwriting, once they practice on this you can give them some lined paper and have them write out the words.

Days writing worksheet printable: this worksheet is great for your child to practice both spelling the names of the days of the week and to practice their handwriting skills so it works on multiple areas of learning which is why this printable is an excellent learning resource to use at home or in a school setting.

With both the writing worksheets I'd recommend you laminate them to get the best use out of them and to be environmentally friendly as you can use whiteboard pen on the laminated sheet which means you can get multiple practices by printing the sheets out only once since you can rub it out and reuse it.

If you don't have a laminator then you can access plastic covers that you can place on top of any printed sheet and stick it down using blue-tack- this way you don't need to constantly buy laminating sheets or take time to laminate each printable rather you can just have a single plastic cover that you can use with all printed sheets.

Sorting months into seasons: the final printable sheets in this learning bundle is the sorting the months out into seasons activity. You or your child cut out the months and the cards are made to a size to fit under each season heading so your child can then sort out each month under the correct season. This way your child also learns their seasons, another creative idea is that your child can draw out each season to really help their understanding of what each season is and what happens during them- they can either draw out particular festivals that take place in that season e.g Christmas in the Winter or what the tree cycle is to do with in each season.

This is all the activities and printable sheets that come in this bundle of helping kids learn their days and months, I think these activities are super fun, engaging and have multi use to them so if you have any ideas for how you'd use these sheets or if you purchase them then let me know in the comments down below how you find them.
