Easy Rhyming Worksheet Activity

Image
Rhyming is something that is taught to kids in school quite early on- as soon as Year 1. So, the sheet activity below is perfect to test kids to see if they can identify rhymes and have understood the concept they have learned in class. This sheet is best used once kids have learned through other resources whether by explaining to them using an example or if they have been shown a video that goes through what rhymes and rhyming is. Once the child has been introduced to rhymes this sheet can be used as a practice to assist them in their learning further as they are doing something with the content. By actively learning it will help them comprehend and remember the information they have been taught better. Worksheet below can be used in many different ways: Give the child the sheet as it is and get them to complete a circle a day  Complete the whole sheet Cut out each circle and do each circle over a course of days so that they keep coming back and testing their knowledge Having practice

Multiplying By 2

The simple activity sheets below are an awesome way to help your child practice multiplying by 2, there are two sheets: an introduction and one to that is slightly more activity focused. By breaking the learning down this way you can focus on one sheet at a time so that is not too much being done at once.  As I have mentioned before in my posts that its more efficient to learn and teach in bitesize pieces as it allows to process the information and to practice couple of times before moving onto another topic or concept. Introduction Sheet: This sheet is an excellent way to break down what multiplying by two or doubling is. Visuals are used alongside clear language so that the child is able to understand what is going on when we multiply by two or double. I really like how the information is broken down into steps and various ways to explain are used to ensure 100% understanding by the child.  Activities are also included to give the child a chance to engage with what is going on, also

Shape Symmetry

Hi guys, so today's worksheet is all about shape symmetry. The sheet is going to be incredibly helpful in helping your child or if you are teacher then the kids in your class learn all about symmetry. It is a simple explanation worksheet that you can work together with the child to introduce the concept and explain with clarity what is meant by 'symmetry'. The worksheet has clear examples with clear explanations that describe how we draw a line of symmetry through which the concept of symmetry is explained. There is also a section for practice to further establish the concept strongly within the child's mind and give deeper understanding. Including some activities for the child to take part in within the worksheet was important to me as I want them to have fun whilst learning.  As well as this I have tried to make it very concise since it can quite quickly become boring when there's lots to read on a page and lots of written explanation. Using an example helped to
