Shape Symmetry

Hi guys, so today's worksheet is all about shape symmetry. The sheet is going to be incredibly helpful in helping your child or if you are teacher then the kids in your class learn all about symmetry. It is a simple explanation worksheet that you can work together with the child to introduce the concept and explain with clarity what is meant by 'symmetry'.

The worksheet has clear examples with clear explanations that describe how we draw a line of symmetry through which the concept of symmetry is explained. There is also a section for practice to further establish the concept strongly within the child's mind and give deeper understanding. Including some activities for the child to take part in within the worksheet was important to me as I want them to have fun whilst learning.

As well as this I have tried to make it very concise since it can quite quickly become boring when there's lots to read on a page and lots of written explanation. Using an example helped to make it interesting by having visuals for the child to consider.

Like all of the worksheets that I post you can click on the image and save it- it is already in an A4 format so you can print it out and use at home, school or a learning centre. I would love to hear in the comments down below from you guys how your kids find this worksheet and any others you try from the blog. If there are any suggestions for future worksheets then I would really appreciate so please let me know in the comments.

Thank you for visiting my blog and hope you liked today's worksheet. 😀
