10 More / Less Worksheet

This week's free worksheet is: 10 more / less.

It has been a couple of months since I posted a worksheet but I have created one that I would like to share with you today 😀. Hopefully, you will find this resource useful and it will aid your child's learning.

10 more / less is an activity that kids in grade 1 / 2 can attempt and for those in the UK this is a great activity for kids in year 2 / 3 to attempt. Depending on the ability of your child and their progress in their learning you can determine if this is an appropriate activity. I

It is always a great idea to ensure you are aware of ,before the school year starts, what your child will be covering in the academic year.

I would recommend having a discussion with your child's teacher and see if they can provide a simple list of topics they hope to cover in the classroom in that school year, if you are a teacher then it would be beneficial for you, the child and the parent to share the list of topics that will be covered so that parents can support their children better during the school year.

10 More or Less Worksheet

This sheet is in A4 size, to print in US letter size change the size in your printer settings dialogue box on your computer before you print:

The simple element of the worksheet makes it useful for the child to work through the sheet and show their knowledge, they'll be able to focus and find it easy to work through the problems.

This worksheet can be given at home to a child for a quick 15 minute learning session. Doing regular learning exercises at home that are only for a short amount of time helps the child get stronger at solving the problems, practice knowledge and identify struggle areas. This is especially true during holiday periods or weekends when kids get out of practice of working and learning, using worksheets like the ones on this blog or having a workbook is an excellent way to keep children engaged in their learning and that they continue to review and revise their learning so they do not forget. Make sure to keep the learning to a small amount of time 15-30 mins daily so that the child does not get overwhelmed and they're able to have fun during the holidays.

A resource that I would recommend to help you keep track of the material and content that the child has covered/ is covering is the progress tracker below:

I love this resource because it is incredibly useful in helping to keep the child's learning organised and focus time and energy on topics which are key areas for the child. There is lots of space to record all the different learning topics and lets you track how many times the child has attempted the particular topic along with their performance.

If you want to help your child focus better on their learning and make improvements then make sure to take a look at this extremely valuable resource.

This is all from me for today and I will see you next time with another resource, make sure to let me know below any resource ideas that you would like to see.

Have a great holiday season 🎉
