Learning Numbers 1-10 Activities

Teach numbers to your little ones with the activities below. For all of the worksheets they can be printed to an A4 size by doing the following:
  1. Click on the picture
  2. Right Click and save picture
  3. Open the file you just saved
  4. Print it out
This should print the worksheets to an A4 size. Alternatively, you can right click and copy the pictures into a word document and print to specifications you see fit. By printing the number card worksheet down below to an A4 size the cards will be bigger which makes them better to use in activities that are recommended you try with your kids using the cards.

Activity #1
1. Print out the sheet below and use it as it is to introduce numbers to your little one
2. Cut out the boxes and order them and allow your kid to use it as cards to organise and order
3. Use stickers to show each number
4. Trace over each number with a marker to practice writing
5. Cut out and get your child to say each number out loud by holding up one card at a time.

Activity #2
Write in the number you want the child to find and you can get them to colour in each box that has the number they are looking for. This activity is really engaging and fun so it is bound to keep your little ones busy for a while. You can use tons of different alternatives to colouring the boxes in such as:
  • stickers
  • dab with stamps
  • paint
  • glitter
  • markers
there's a lot of other ways you can make using the worksheet below fun to help your child with number recognition and pronunciation- instead of writing the numeral write out the word of the number so for example if you want them to colour all number 2's then write TWO in the blank space. This way they'll learn to associate both the written and numeral version of the number.

Activity #3
This activity is again one that will keep your little ones engaged and is an excellent way to help them relate the written and numeral versions of numbers 1-10. Cut the cards out and get your kids to put them together, you can work together with your child to do this activity. Doing an activity with your kids makes it fun for both of you and is a great way to spend time together whilst also helping them learn.

Another thing I like about this activity is that it shows you if your kids can recognise patterns, so you can see that the numeral and written version are both in the same colour to help your little on it'll be interesting to see if your little one can recognise that. Let me know what you discover with your little one.

I hope that these sheets are useful for you in helping your child learning their numbers. I have an alphabet and number print in my Etsy shop that I think will be a really great resource to help your kids learn both their alphabets and numbers:

Check out the bundle print as I think it's a great resource and printable that you can use to make learning the alphabet and numbers 1-10 easy.

Another resource that I'd really recommend checking out is the Learn and Write 1-10 Numbers bundle, this bundle has multiple activities to help your child learn their numbers and there are also writing sheets that your child can use to learn how to write the numbers 1-10. This is a useful resource since it has a range of activities that you can use with your child.

Let me kow if there are any more worksheets you'd like to see from me on this blog down in the comments.
